hmmmmmThis is an interesting take on how time and personal interests have changed the registrations seen by AKC over the years… It really shocked me to see that only 10 dogs represent over half the registrations… Not to mention the difficulty of finding information like this.

In my humble opinion this also shows how breeding has moved to more of money making industry rather than the passion of a particular breed…

For me the take away is simple, if you are going to choose a purebred dog, do your research… Know the difference between a good breeder and a not so good breeder. The same goes for choosing between a shelter dog and a bred dog… In the end do not make impulse decisions when it comes to getting a pooch, it is a lifetime commitment and you should be an educated owner not the other way around?

Thoughts???
